Sponsored by Toyota, MasterCard, and others, the Copa Libertadores soccer tournament is the second largest sporting event in the world. The task was to create a virtual office for global event marketing staff and a content portal for corporate sponsors, teams, media, and game schedules in three languages.

Given the customized requirements and the need for a powerful but simple user interface, Project Calibrate applied a rapid prototyping methodology with an emphasis on usability design. Modular construction of the system on top of a SQL Server 2000 database allowed the project team to quickly release production-ready components for usability testing and refinement.
